The art of Croozin'

Q: What is "Croozin' "

A: Well, if you haven't been to a Telford Crooze, then you best listen up here! Each year, we organise some of the country's biggest VW Croozes, and next year could be your chance to join in. Basically, during the summer months, we invite all the clubs from the Midlands Area, (MDF, AirBearBunch, Half-A-Brain, Air Cooled Collective and any others, to join us at the Elephant & Castle. When everyone is in place, we all drive off in one big crooze! The art of a good crooze is to drive at a steady pace so everyone can keep up, avoid traffic lights at all costs as these tend to have an adverse affect on any crooze, use traffic islands as a way of regrouping the pack, make sure there's a guy at the back who also knows what route you are taking and drive through areas where there are plenty of people. The Ironbridge pass has always been the No.1 winner. 50 V Dubs trawling up The High Street in Ironbridge, round the small Island and back down again! A few carefully timed blasts on the horn is important to make people aware! Snaking is a art form and is impressive if done right! The "Telford snake" can be seen in full effect on any dual carriageway or quieter piece of road.

Crooze dates for 2006 will appear soon on the events calendar. If anyone has pics from previous croozes that you would like to see on here, please mail them to me!
